Mission Statement & History
NextGen Research is a research firm dedicated to understanding the potential of new technologies, forecasting and quantifying near and mid-term market opportunities, and assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the players involved.
NextGen Research was developed originally as the Emerging Technology Group of ABI Research, founded in 1990. Recognizing the need for dedicated research in several key areas of technology innovation, the group was spun out of ABI and NextGen was established. Its mission: To rigorously examine all new technology trends and produce actionable market intelligence on emerging industries where opportunities exist within a 1 to 10-year time frame.
NextGen represents one of the earliest market research efforts into several key markets that are established today:
